Lightning Policy

 
All activities will be halted and the Shira Baseball Complex will be closed for at least 30 minutes when there is a thunderstorm with cloud-to-ground lightning or a tornado warning in the vicinity of the facility.
 
Players, coaches and spectators will be advised to seek shelter in a safe, fully enclosed building or a vehicle.

If field conditions allow, activities may resume after the storm passes from the area and there has been no cloud-to-ground lightning for at least 30 minutes.  Participants will be signaled if/when it is determined to be safe to re-enter the Complex.

Heat Policy

All activities will be canceled and the Shira Baseball Complex will be closed for events where the start time corresponds with a heat index of 105+ in the hourly weather forecast.
