The emphasis for the Fall Leagues is player development!
FALL 9U MUSTANG, 10U MUSTANG, & 12U BRONCO LEAGUES
McLean County PONY Baseball offers a 9U (Mustang), 10U (Mustang), & 12U (Bronco) Fall Leagues.
Age determination & Division placement is based on where players would play NEXT Summer. This provides exposure for players to the field/rule changes (i.e. live pitching, leadoffs, etc.) for the next season. This is a lesser competitive season, with no records, no standings, no tournaments, no trophies, etc.
The 9U (Mustang) Fall League is a kid-pitch league that provides the opportunity for players to gain additional experience prior to moving to Mustang the following season. Our goal is to have a 9U division that will play on our Pinto Field to allow all the 9U players to learn & grow together. Registration counts will determine if we have a separate division or if they combine with 10U Mustang.
Games are held on Sundays at The PONY Fields @ The Shira Baseball Complex. Practices typically start the week before the first game. The season consists of six games played over 5-7 weeks starting in mid-August, ending late September (schedule may include 1-2 double headers for each team). NOTE: Games will NOT be played the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
Each league will have a maximum of 6 teams.
Cost is $100 for players who played in a PONY League during this past summer; $135 for non-PONY players. No concession commitment is required. Team shirts will be provided.
Please note: Full team signups are not allowed.
FALL HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE
- 6 weeks - 6 games.
- Games are played Sundays beginning mid-August, ending late September. (One extra Sunday, will be used as a rain makeup date, if needed)
- Games will NOT be played the Sunday of Labor Day weekend
- Teams will play single games & may play 1-2 doubleheaders.
- All games played on Sunday afternoons beginning at 1:00, 3:15, and 5:30 PM
- Cost is $120 for current MCPB players ($145 for non-current MCPB players). No concession commitment is required.
- Shirts will be provided
- Roster size: minimum of 13 players on a team
- Game format: all uniformed players will be placed in the batting lineup
- Free substitutions (except the pitching position)
- Games: 1 hour 45 min time limit
